Who can attend the STOP THE BLEED® course?

Anyone can attend.

The course is suitable for members of the police, security personnel, the public, workplaces, schools, teachers, parents, sports coaches, and community groups. No medical background or prior training is required.

Children ages 12 and up can attend.

Do I need any prior medical knowledge or experience?

No.

The course is designed for anyone - from complete beginners to experienced individuals and focuses on practical, easy-to-learn skills that anyone can apply in an emergency.

What will I learn during the course?

You will learn how to:

  • Recognise life-threatening bleeding
  • Protect yourself and the casualty
  • Apply direct pressure correctly
  • Use wound packing techniques
  • Apply a tourniquet effectively
  • Respond confidently until emergency services arrive

The training is hands-on and scenario-based to build real-world confidence.

How long is the course?

The STOP THE BLEED®
course typically runs for ±4 hours, depending on group size and engagement.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes.

All participants will receive an internationally recognized certificate.

This certificate features the logos of the U.S. Department of Defense and the Combat Casualty Care Research Program, reflecting that the course is fully aligned with Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) principles and approved by the U.S. Department of Defense.


Is the course internationally recognised?


The STOP THE BLEED® course is an internationally recognized initiative developed to empower civilians and anyone present during an emergency to act confidently and save lives.

All participants who successfully complete the course receive a certificate featuring the logos of the U.S. Department of Defense and the Combat Casualty Care Research Program, reflecting that the training is fully aligned with Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) principles and approved by the U.S. Department of Defense.



Does the certificate expire?

No, the certificate does not expire.

However, because best practices, techniques and guidelines can evolve over time, it is recommended to complete occasional refreshers (every 2 years).
Regular refreshers help ensure your skills remain sharp and up to date.

Is the course suitable for workplaces and teams?

Yes.

The course is ideal for:

What should I wear to the course?

Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.

The training is hands-on, and you may be kneeling and will be practicing techniques on training equipment.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

No, all training equipment and materials are provided.

A training booklet and pen to make additional notes is also included.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our course cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 14 days or more before the course: Full refund.
  • 7–14 days before the course: 50% cancellation fee.
  • Less than 7 days before the course: No refund.
Can I transfer my booking to someone else if I can’t attend?

Yes, you are welcome to transfer your booking to another person at no additional cost, even if it is close to the course date.

Please notify us in advance with the replacement attendee’s details.

What happens if TBC needs to cancel or reschedule a course?

If we (TBC) need to cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered:

  • A full refund or
  • A transfer to a future course date
Is this course physically demanding?

No.

The course is accessible to most people. Techniques are demonstrated and practiced at a comfortable pace, and participants can opt out of any activity if needed.

Will this training help in real emergencies?


Yes. In fact, uncontrolled bleeding is one of the leading causes of preventable death in trauma.

This course equips you with the skills and confidence to take action in those critical first minutes before emergency services arrive.
